Gems Calculator: Vedic Gemstones are natural stones chosen by a professional Vedic astrologer who specializes in analyzing a Vedic chart and recommending gemstones that help to strengthen the weak planets found in a chart.  The purpose of a planetary gemstone is to bring out the higher qualities of a weak planet and thus promote a more balanced chart. Say, for example, the planet Mercury is weak in your chart.  The Vedic astrologer would then recommend a gemstone, such as an Emerald, taking into consideration the color and clarity of the stone.  The Gems Calculator aims to give you guidance in this regard.
